MOON Letter | Cancer Full Moon: trust + faith + surrender

Hi my beautiful humans,
Happy Full Moon in Cancer, our cosmic mama bear!
Cancer is home in arms of the Moon. In this energy, we feel supported, loved, nurtured, and nourished.
Some full moons can feel quite erratic... Like chaos is moving through our energetic realities. This full moon feels a bit like a big hug to me... The kind where we can really surrender and let go. The kind you get when you go over to your mamas house and you tell her something that is on your heart or in your mind- It's vulnerable and raw, and you know you will be supported and held in her space. You know she will love you and wipe your tears away.
This Cancer Moon is here for just that... To gently hold us, care for us, and love us unconditionally- as we say good bye to anything that needs to go. And perhaps there isn't need to release anything more than energy: through tears, through words, through shaking and moving and breathing.
There are some words that are really in my awareness today:
trust + faith + surrender
I believe we are learning the true power of our hearts. We are learning that our energy moves as emotion. Our feelings are our frequency. The more attuned and sensitive we become to this field of energy that is always ever present within and around us, the more magical and powerful our life will become.
Cancer swims beautifully in the emotional realms, especially when she is at home with the Moon. It is courageous work to find the pathways that lead us back into our power, to remember the wisdom and magic of our emotions and allow them to guide us into love, synchronicity, and divinity.
Today, perhaps we all just take some time to soften a little bit.
- Open your arms for big, long hugs.
- Spend time in nature and nourish your soul.
- Cry if you need to. Shake. Move. Breathe... Let it all go.
- Remember your heart and walk your way back inside.
- Remind yourself of your power... It lives inside your heart.
- Be gentle: with yourself and with each other. We are all just walking each other home. Remember.
- Baths... Will feel nice :)
And as we move into creating new space, new earth, new realities- perhaps we can just allow a little bit more and lean into trust, faith, and surrender. Everything is going to be ok. Everything is going to work out.
We are loved, unconditionally... By Earth, by Moon, by Sky... By the whole damn Universe. And everything is happening perfectly, for you.
Whatever is on your plate, in your view, or in your experience...
What does trust feel like when it moves from the heart? Can you lean into letting go and surrender to the beautiful divinity of synchronicity and flow? Can you hold high faith in everything you create?

Our soft, vulnerable, and emotionally responsive full moon in Cancer undulates in opposition to powerful Pluto. Similarly, many may find themselves adrift in deeply felt emotional undercurrents, as we process the many moving parts of simultaneous unfolding transits. On January 14th, Mercury joined Venus retrograde, proving January to be a month of strategy over quick progress, potential delay, revision, and necessary patience. Mars’ square to Neptune over the last week has further complicated clarity, so give yourself a pat on the back for riding the waves!
๐That being said, we do have some forward movement. Uranus moves direct the day following the Full Moon (Jan 18th PST) for the first time in 5 months. Uranus and Saturn’s on and off square throughout all of 2021 highlighted themes of destabilization and progressive transformation, and we have arrived to another important moment in their on-and-off again dance. Uranus is “break free and level up” energy, and this explosive forward station suggests that themes around change that may have followed you throughout all last year may now powerfully come up again. Whatever has been screaming for your attention around metamorphosis is likely re-awakening in your consciousness now with green-light-go-energy. Uranus is known for trying out a new approach, flying free of the shackles that bind, tension that leads to detachment, unplanned detours that change us forever, and those auspicious sudden moments that take our breath away. Note: Uranus stations are not mellow, and often come with a shock-and-awe essence of unpredictability and surprise. Earthquakes, volcanos, and surprising headlines are common.
๐Basically, there’s a ton of change. Those pesky swimmy retrograde energies that test your endurance, and Uranus humming away like a live-wire, adding to the what-the-fuck-else-could-be-next-I’d-just-like-to-have-some-security-please-vibe. This Cancer Full Moon accentuates sensitivity of emotion, and it looks as if we are processing down to every cell. We are agile surfers of change by now - honestly at this point, getting used to it - (at least it’s exciting) but still. It’s a lot. (Don’t forget to look forward to Feb - mercury and Venus will finallllyyyy be direct and I promise delays and uncertainty now will be flying forward with much more ease!) For now it’s one of those moments where we set sail trusting the Spirits in the wind, hoping that they know better than we do in this moment exactly where we’re going. Spoiler alert: They do ๐๐
โ๏ธ FULL MOON IN CANCER โ๏ธ Tomorrow we meet the first Full Moon of 2022 in the sign of Cancer. Full moons are often emotionally intense times. In Cancer, this Full Moon brings up heightened intuition and many emotions. Cancer reminds us to sit and give space to our feelings. Through this attention and observation, we can understand them on a deeper level, process them, and allow them to open the doors to our inner knowing.
This Full moon is a time to make yourself a priority. If you do feel emotional waves rising to the surface of your conscious mind give yourself the space you deserve to understand them. Self-care is more important than anything else right now. When you make time to nourish and replenish yourself, everyone else around you benefits. Allow this Full Moon to teach you how to balance the many energies, commitments. and demands in your life while making time to recenter yourself.
Let this become the blueprint for the rest of the year. As we journey through this Full Moon ask yourself how you want to feel and then ask yourself what choices you can make to support this feeling. What energies do you need to feel at home within yourself? And how will giving yourself what you need allow your magic, intuition, and brilliance to surface?

Be in your safe space if you need to this full moon, it moves big oceans in us. Release what you need to. Bathe if you need to. Move if you need to. Cook if you need to. Cry if you need to.
